Starting at 00:00 hours on Friday July 8, 2022, taking into account the recommendations of the General Subdirectorate for Surveillance and Response to Public Health Emergencies of the Generalitat de Catalunya, ya It is not essential for patients to present a prior negative PCR test for hospital admission or for the practice of any type of surgical, obstetric or invasive procedure.
However, in order to follow an active prevention policy, patients, upon admission to hospital (both scheduled and urgent), must sign a self-declaration responsible for:
- Possible symptoms compatible with COVID.
- Exposure risk situations of less than 5 days
If patients scheduled for surgery or obstetrics have symptoms consistent with COVID or if patients do not have symptoms but show risk of exposure in the last 5 days, we will proceed to a provisional admission and an individualized pre-surgical re-evaluation, and if deemed necessary, we will carry out the specific diagnostic tests needed.
For patients considered urgent or that cannot be postponed for clinical reasons, the corresponding standard prevention and isolation measures will be applied and the necessary treatment will be carried out.

As of today, taking into account the current epidemiological situation and the scientific consensus recommendations, to prevent the transmission of COVID-19 in the care of patients in the Corachan care:
- In patients WITH symptoms consistent with COVID-19 infection, a negative PCR test will be necessary (within the previous 24 hours) in order to be admitted or hospitalized.
- En patients WITHOUT symptoms compatible with COVID-19 infection a PCR test will be necessary previous refusal (from previous 72 hours) for:
- Admission to the Hospitalization Floor, to especially protect Surgical Patients WITH anticipation of using the airway for anesthesia or who in general have additional personal pathological risks, especially those related to immunity.
- Surgical patients admitted for Major Ambulatory Surgery with anticipated use of an airway for anesthesia (ACUE BOX or ACUE room).
- Respiratory fiberoscopy.
- In patients WITHOUT symptoms compatible with COVID-19 and declaration of absence of risk contacts in the previous 72 hours No previous test will be necessary for:
- IVF or similar punctures.
- Digestive Endoscopy (indistinctly Gastroscopy or Coloscopy).
- Minor Ambulatory Surgery (Ambulatory or ACUE-BOX).
- Major Ambulatory Surgery WITHOUT provision for the use of an airway for anesthesia (ACUE Box or ACUE room.
- R Magnetic, CT or ECO with Sedation.
- SPECIAL CASES:
- Enbirths: performance of PCR after obstetric care for location management in hospital wards.
- EnUrgent surgeries or procedures whose clinical status does not allow waiting for the PCR result, will be validated by TAR-Antigens.

The use of the mask is still mandatory in health centers, services and establishments
El Article 6 of Law 2/2021, of March 29, establishes the assumptions of mandatory use of the mask for people 6 years of age and older.
According to said article, the use of a mask is maintained in health centers, services and establishments, areas where there may be a greater concentration of vulnerable people with a greater risk of serious illness.
La obligatory of wearing a mask at all times while staying in any of the health center dependencies affects workers, visitors and patients.
Exception: It is not mandatory for admitted people to wear a mask while they remain in their room.
Companions must always wear a mask, even when they are inside the room of the person admitted.

NEW MEASURES FOR ACCOMPANYING PATIENTS
Given the favorable evolution of the pandemic situation and following the recommendations of the Catalan Health Service, we proceed to start a de-escalation of the restriction measures.
As of today, February 17, 2022, the following measures will apply:
- PATIENTS WITH AN APPOINTMENT OR TEST SCHEDULED:
Only 1 companion is allowed per patient with an outpatient visit and/or diagnostic test.
To avoid crowds, you will not be able to access the waiting room before 10 minutes before the arranged visit time.
- ADMITTED PATIENTS:
Only 1 companion is allowed to stay in the room.
The companion must remain continuously in the room and comply with the established protection standards (mask, hand hygiene, etc.).
The companion may be temporarily absent from the center for personal reasons.
In case of a change of companion, the change must be made in the hall of the clinic.
Visits are strictly prohibited.
For all patients hospitalized or admitted for tests, it is mandatory to have a negative PCR performed in the previous 72 hours, even in those patients with a complete vaccination schedule or certification of having overcome the disease.
- EMERGENCY SERVICE:
The companions of patients who come to the emergency room should preferably remain outside the enclosure in the areas set up for this purpose and maintaining prevention regulations.
Only 1 companion will be allowed access to those patients who need to remain under observation in the emergency department, or who result in hospital admission.
- SURGICAL AND ENDOSCOPIC OUTPATIENTS:
As a general rule, companions should wait at the reception of the clinic/cafeteria/outside until they are notified of the patient's discharge.
Exceptionally, the "curta estada" area will manage the companions allowed according to the patient's condition and the accompaniment required upon discharge.

NEW MEASURES FOR VISITS AND ACCOMPANYING PATIENTS
Due to the increase in COVID-19 cases and in order to minimize the risk of intra-hospital infections, we inform you of the following restrictions for companions:
- PATIENTS WITH ADMISSION AND EMERGENCY SERVICE:
Only 1 companion of the family nucleus is allowed only in the case of pregnant women, pediatric patients, dependents or those in which the companion can decisively facilitate the care process.
Those accompanying patients who come to the emergency room must remain outside the premises. A nearby area has been set up so that they can wait as comfortably as possible, respecting prevention measures, keeping them informed by mobile phone or personally in the waiting area provided.
- PATIENTS WITH AN APPOINTMENT OR TEST SCHEDULED:
Only 1 companion per person is allowed only in the case of minors or dependents.
- VISITS AND COMPANIONS TO HOSPITALIZED PATIENTS:
Visits and the possibility of accompanying persons in the rooms of admitted or hospitalized patients are not authorized.
This restriction does not apply to especially sensitive patients such as pediatric or obstetric patients, all this always at the discretion of the plant personnel.
Starting at 07:00 hours on Thursday, December 9, it will be necessary, for all patients who are hospitalized or admitted for tests, to have a negative PCR performed in the previous 48 hours, even in those patients with a full vaccination schedule or certification of having overcome the disease.

NEW MEASURES FOR ACCOMPANYING PATIENTS
As of November 9, 2021, new flexibility measures come into force for access to the center for accompanying patients.
Hospitalized patients
- 1 companion per patient is allowed inside the room.
- To avoid more than 1 companion in the room, the change of companion must be done in the hall of the clinic.
- If the patient receives a visit, the usual companion must leave the room and make the exchange at the reception.
Maternal area
- The couple is considered a family unit and does not count as a companion.
NON-surgical outpatients (outpatient visits throughout the Corachan Campus)

Restriction of visits to admitted patients
With the aim of minimizing the risk of hospital infections, as of July 20, 2021, visits to hospitals are not allowed. hospitalized patients at Clínica Corachan, so that they will not be able to stay with them or spend the night in the room.
Exceptionally, it is authorized a companion per patient in three situations:
- Childbirth and / or puerperium (as long as the person is part of the family nucleus).
- Pediatric patients / cas (one of the parents or guardians).
- People with special situations (dependency, disability) always at the discretion of the healthcare team.
These companions in exceptional cases must be accredited at the Patient Management Service (Hall de Corachan 2, Plaza M. Corachan, 4) to provide them with their personal and non-transferable identification.
They cannot be accredited as companions if they present any of these symptoms or if they have had contact with someone with COVID-19 in the last two weeks (except if they provide negative PCR performed in the previous 48 hours).
- Fever over 37,5ºC
- Dry cough
- Diarrhea
- Muscle aches, headache, and / or sore throat
- Loss of taste and / or smell
And they must comply at all times with the following prevention rules:
- Do not enter the room without the permission of the nursing staff.
- Be identified at all times with the supplied bracelet and wear a surgical mask or FPP2 at all times.
- Stay in the room at all times.
- Make the corresponding meals in the room.

What precautions should you take if you are pregnant?
At Women's we want to insist that the World Health Organization (WHO) recommends that pregnant women and those around them take the following precautions in this exceptional situation:
- Contact the health authorities if you experience the most common symptoms: fever, cough, or breathing difficulties.
- Wash your hands with soap and water frequently.
- Avoid crowded and poorly ventilated places.
- Avoid contact with people with symptoms.
- Maintain a minimum interpersonal distance of 1 meter.
- When coughing or sneezing, cover your mouth with your forearm, a bent elbow, or a tissue.
- Use tissues and dispose of them afterwards.
