Dr Sara Boi is a psychiatrist specialising in sleep disorders, affective disorders—including depression, anxiety and bipolar disorder, workplace overload and stress, psychosis, and conditions linked to cannabis and other substance use. Her clinical approach focuses on understanding each person as a whole, integrating mental health, sleep habits and environmental factors to provide personalised and empathetic care.

She holds a degree in Medicine and Surgery from the University of Cagliari (Italy) and is a specialist in both Psychiatry and Cardiovascular Surgery. She is currently completing her PhD in Medicine and Surgery at the Autonomous University of Madrid and conducts her research activity at Gregorio Marañón University Hospital, where she has been awarded the prestigious Río Hortega Fellowship as well as the Post-FSE Research Grant. She has presented at more than 30 conferences in Spain and abroad s, has published in international journals and has coordinated and assessed multicentre clinical trials in the field of psychiatry.

She is committed to education and scientific dissemination and has taught on the International Master’s in Sleep Medicine. She is also an active member of SEPSM, SEPD and SES. Her research focuses on the impact of cannabis use on first psychotic episodes, its relationship with sleep disorders and the affective aspects of restless legs syndrome. Taking a scientific, compassionate and multidisciplinary approach, Dr Boi provides support to individuals experiencing depression, anxiety, insomnia, workplace or school bullying and work-related stress. She offers a safe space and evidence-based guidance, grounded in a deep understanding of mental well-being.
