Women's CD Gynecological Center (currently in Edificio Corachan 3 in Barcelona) was born from the union of two experienced medical teams led by the Dr Francisco Carmona and Drs. Santiago Dexeus and Damian Dexeus.
Composed of world-renowned specialists covering all fields of gynecology, obstetrics and women's well-being, Women's CD was founded with the aim of facilitating personalized, comprehensive medical care of the highest technical and scientific quality in all stages of women.

History, tradition, modernity and innovation
At Women's CD, a gynecological center founded by Dr. Santiago Dexeus, Dr. Damian Dexeus and Dr. Francisco Carmona, Head of the Gynecology Service at Hospital Clínic de Barcelona and President of the Society of Endometriosis and Uterine Disorders (SEUD) and the Spanish Society for the Study of Myomas and Endometriosis (SEEME), we are heirs to a tradition in which the woman is the center of the medical act.
In 1935, Santiago Dexeus i Font he founded the Clínica Mater, the first private maternity hospital in Spain.
Their children Josep Maria Dexeus i Trias de Bes y Santiago Dexeus i Trias de Bes continued their legacy in the field of gynecology and obstetrics by founding the Dexeus University Institute in 1973 and leading the great milestones of modern gynecology in Spain, such as early diagnosis of cancer, colposcopy, oncological surgery, mastology, first gynecological laparoscopy, the worldwide birth of assisted reproductive techniques, the first artificial insemination and the first in vitro fertilization.
Today, our dream, a living and constant dream in which the professionals at Women's CD work daily, is to ensure the health of our patients and provide them with a service that understands women as a whole and makes their lives more comfortable and easy.
